A favourite place

There is something magical about the beach. The crunch-squelch-crunch of moist sand under your toes, squinting from the sunshine bouncing off a breaking wave, the smell of freshness and sea salt says, without a doubt, you're part of something bigger than yourself.

The Gold Coast shoreline is littered with beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see- kilometres of pristine white sand. If you're lucky, you can follow in the footsteps of those who have walked before you... a race against the tide, rolling in to erase nature's canvas.

Watching Kaleb at one with nature fills my heart to bursting- my little merman, my beach babe. Nothing but pure, unadulterated happiness and I thank the heavens everyday for sending me such a soul. The worries of the day carried by the wind to scatter across the sand.

This visit we were accompanied by a special friend, Mr Tyrannosaurs-Rex! Far from his Jurassic jungle he was plunged into the sand where Kaleb took particular delight in creating a series of footprints quite different from those left by other visitors that day.

All good things must come to an end however, and as I bundled you up and carried you off that pristine white sand, I smiled that smile... it's only for you my little man. A smile that's reserved for times like these.

♥ you Kaleb.
